Willie Mae Branch, 97, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20th, at Freshly Anointed Baptist Church, 3507 Crenshaw Ave. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the church. Willie Mae Branch, 97, was born September 11, 1923, in Cameron, Texas to Cal and Agusta White-Quigley. She attended secondary and high school in Cameron, Texas, attended Prairie View A&M University. She was a member of Freshly Anointed Baptist Church, where she also served as the Church Mother under the leadership of Rev. G. Durham. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; beloved husband Gus Branch; four siblings, Hazel Carter, Bernice Johnson, Mamie Lee Richard, and Cal Quigley. She is survived by her seven children: Dwight Branch (Carletta), Janet Branch, Cynthia Branch, Gus Michael Branch, Pamela Hall, Carol Bulliner, and Antoine Branch; 16 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family, church family; and dear friends.
